The Thrift Shop later moved to a single family residence on the 900 block of 9th Street (site of the enlarged Co-op) and was also opened on Saturdays. On Saturday it was run by Louise Hitt and Marge Riddle.
By 1977 it became increasingly difficult to pay the rising costs of rent and utilities. Space opened in the basement of the church when it was no longer being used by the church school.
The hours remained the same for Tuesday and Friday until July, 1995, when they we
re shorted to noon to 4 pm due to shortage of volunteers.
The Thrift Shop offers men, women, children and infant clothing; bedding; shoes; books; assorted jewelry; knickknacks; and more. Look for interesting assortments of seasonal items. Check out the store when putting together Halloween costumes.
Hours: Tuesday and Friday 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Donations accepted during open hours. We are unable to accept furniture and electronics and ask that all items be clean and in good repair.
